How about giving LLX read/write access to a special file in storage?

How about giving LLX read/write access to a special file in storage? It would be great for passing strings between tasker and LLX.

I’ve found a possibility to do so already, but it’s a hack and requires root access, so I’d like to be able to avoid that messy stuff.

I would prefer to avoid that. In the upcoming version there will be better integration with Tasker (run LL actions from Tasker, possibly passing some data, and trigger Tasker task from LLX including with optional data too). Would that fill the gap ?

I have started a wiki page here: http://www.pierrox.net/android/applications/lightning_launcher/wiki/doku.php?id=working_with_tasker

But of course as long as the beta is not ready, it is only informative.

Looks cool, waiting for it ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope I can soon stop to write stuff directly into LL’s data ๐Ÿ˜›

Almost, in theory, and in the limit of granted permissions.
