Yo Pierre Hébert, sup bro, it would be really cool to have a live cpu and ram values set to like 1 second updates…

Yo Pierre Hébert, sup bro, it would be really cool to have a live cpu and ram values set to like 1 second updates or adjustable in the dynamic text options. Of course it can probably be done, well definitely be done with scripting I’m sure but I jus think and probably most avg users would like a simple select an add like the date for ex. And kinda like that other launcher I’m not going to name which has it in the dynamics lol but it would be better in lightning of course. but I would really love to see somebody put a live running process CPU list for like the top five processes utilizing the most CPU at 1 second updates or so sa dynamic text option somewhere. All this to save from monitor apps and widgets being used and I’m sure all of that can be done with scripting but that’s way over my head and most people I would imagine lol just a thought great job man keep up the good work

    That text is terrible to read.

    I’ll see if I can script something in this direction…

    Do you mean my post? Like, what’s terrible about it? If I said something wrong I apologize but you jus have to know where I’m from in the American deep South, redneck country, to appreciate my dialect lol anyway that would be really cool thank you man and keep in mind I joke around a lot just by habit when I talk to you anyway anytime so never take me too seriously lol

    I don’t want to offend you, but I find it hard to read a text with neither correct punctuation nor paragraphs.

    No offense at all man, I completely understand especially if English is not your native language. I only recently within the past two years begin to meet and talk to people from different cultures online so I’m still not used to having to precisely right everything and forget that the other person may not fully understand what I’m saying. I will do my best to try to better communicate to everyone, but you all have very good English skills so I get comfortable, carried away and I’ll forget lol but no offense man thank you for pointing it out to me I need to be reminded a lot

    Something like this is way easier to read for me (keeping most of your language):

    Yo +Pierre Hébert, sup bro, it would be really cool to have a live cpu and ram values set to like 1 second (or adjustable) updates in the dynamic text options.

    Of course it can probably be done, well definitely be done with scripting, but I – and probably most avg users – would like to have a possibility like the one for e.g. dates.

    I kinda like that other launcher (I’m not going to name), which has it in the dynamics, but it would be better in lightning of course.

    I just got this thought, great job man.

    keep up the good work!

    Of course I can still understand your text, it’s not that “Google-Translate-hard-to-read” and I understand why you write this way – it sounds like a stream of thoughts.

    But it took me some time to figure out, that you use ‘lol’ as a divider between sentences.

    As you said I’m not a native speaker, and I can read clearly structured, full sentences better.

    Yes Corey Spell some of your posts are not easy to read !

    But I understand it’s always very enthousiastic and you set ideas as they are coming 😂😁

    Don’t change it but your posts lol

    Well I forgot to mention that most of the time I’m using the voice typing, so that’s probably more of the reason why they are hard to read. that’s another reason why my post are usually pretty long because when I’m talking it just seems like a short sentence to me but comes out several paragraphs lol Bruno-Isa LAMOUR-ARNOULD yes I get the best ideas just letting it flow like that and that’s when I generally write my best music, most musicians a lot like that. Plus I also have had a.d.d. Since I was little, I was a very hyper kid lol😅😅😂😂

    There is a little hack for updating CPU% every second…

    Make your binding look like this:

    var dum = $ll_second;

    return $cpu_usage

    actualy it can be used to update anything every second.

    Jappie Toutenhoofd the problem is that you won’t get the Cpu usage of different processes from this.

    correct, but it’s an easy start.

    Corey Spell, it IS hard to read (and I was born and raised in Alabama and Tennessee). The issue is the punctuation (or lack there of) that makes it harder to read.

    What I do is speak “comma” or “period” or “question mark” etc when I use speech to text.

    We CAN figure out what you’re saying… It just takes longer.

    No offense bro.

    I generally enjoy your posts! 😉

    Jappie Toutenhoofd don’t do this because it ill redraw the same value each second. It will not recompute the cpu usage but simply display the current value again. Measurement are done every 3s for CPU. Think at variables as some “push”, instead of “pull”: “when a variable is modified, targets are updated accordingly”, instead of “when the target has to be displayed, extract the variable to compute the value”

    My personal opinion about per process cpu usage on Android: this is certainly funny and maybe eye candy, but this is totally useless as numbers are not meaningful without some analysis. In addition, I am pretty unable to make this analysis every second (Slowbrain Inside™)

    Chris Chastain no offense taken, I get to talking fast, doing one thing thinking of 20 other things and jus totally forget. It’s quite weird, but I can do some complex stuff like writing every part of a song (not literally) and completely structure every instrument’s exact place without even really thinking about it, but I never know what day of the week it is or date and miss stuff other people don’t. Let’s jus say school was quite interesting for my teachers, I gave them hell lol😅😅😂😂 could be all that short term memory I burned up during my years of curiosity and stubbornness too 😪😪😮😮😎😎

    Pierre Hébert it’s great until crazy girls start driving by your house and going through your trash. I loved when this stalker girl rear ended my girlfriend’s car, and I had to fix both of their cars! The other buzz kill is how expensive gear is. But the music is great! Nothing better than finding 2 to 4 other like minded individuals and nailing a tasty tune! Doing it on stage in front of a huge crowd is the best drug in the world!

    Thomas Greer is absolutely right lol and the kind of people you meet in general in the music world are jus outrageously eccentric, I’m always surprised at the crazy shit some people say and do and how insane some may seem and then surprise you again by being the most amazing musicians, but the weirdest people on earth lol like that reggae band with 5 long hair musicians with dreadlocks but also pale white skin and red hair lmao even pulling off the Jamaican accent. artists are definitely unique. oh and yes the gear can get outrageously expensive too especially for a drummer there’s just no way you’re going to spend under a grand on the most basic smallest drum set up and then all the junk we have to haul around but it’s worth it
