There is absolutely no use in double posting a feature request.
Aside from that: Probably not. We’ve talked with Pierre Hébert in the past about the app drawer. He said that the app drawer is not meant to be used frequently. It is a place where you should only want to go if you installed a new app or launch one which you normally don’t use. That is why it has considerably less options than normal desktops.
We already have folders. Folders are used to sort things, in contrast to panels which are used to hide things, so space can be used more efficiently.
While this is great for desktops, the app drawer should be a complete list of apps. Hiding stuff is contraproductive there.
I agree with that decision, but if you don’t, you can still put all your apps into a desktop (I wrote a script to automate that).
Remember that I am only moderating here. Lightning is pierres baby and maybe he has changed his mind.
On a side note: I think scripts have unrestricted access on the appdrawer, so you could probably add panels this way. No idea what this will cause though.
Edit: confirmed working, but scripts are also the only way to get rid of them.
And if you want to mark sections i would recommend to set a background to these items. This way you can see easily which apps are new or in the wrong place
