Would be nice to be able to remove folder icon when you set it to stack or grid, I mean the background so you see only the app icon miniatures.

I agree, you can remove the folder icon and you can even replace it with an icon from an icon pack but I wish that by default it would just have app icon miniatures.

This is on the TODO list (but with a low priority though). The idea is to move the grey background in the icon filter background slot.
