  1. long press somewhere on the background of the folder.

    Select “settings”,

    then “Folder” ,

then “Current Folder window” (4th thing down).

All the way near the bottom is a big box that has “padding top”, “content”, “padding bottom”, etc.

touch the middle 2 boxes and they should hilight (turn blue).

then right below that there is a menu item “Normal Color”.

Enter the normal color menu and below the color picker is a long narrow bar with checkers in it.

Select all the way to the RIGHT which is how transparent you want your background to be.

    Click OK.

Thanks, Alexander Spitzer .  i did that and it didn’t work.  The problem is that it there was a background image that i couldn’t get rid of.

Finally, i went to the section to select the background and clicked the ‘x’ in the upper left.  that actually removed the image and voila, the background disappeared!  It’s now transparent.  Thanks again!

  3. I have not dealt with images on backgrounds, but right BELOW the last menu item I mentioned called “Normal Color” there is a menu item called “Background Image”. That seems like probably the place you should check out. I noticed when I was in the “Background Image” there was an icon that looked like a COG. I clicked that and there was another color picker and a checker board transparency bar. Maybe click on thin checkerboard bar all the way on the RIGHT? I am just guess here though.

That’s exactly where I was able to remove the background. Works great!
