I have two issues using LLX on redmi note 2.
1. App drawer paging is corrupted
2. Whenever I restart phone, llx fails to come up as default launcher
So paid for and using Nova for now. Can anyone help me to raise a bug report? Is llz not compatible with RN2 phone?

What do you mean with “corrupted”? Does it affect all modes?
Unfortunately the default app behavior is not controlled by apps, the system takes care of this, and I can’t help you much on this. Apps don’t choose to be the default app, but the android system does (otherwise it would be a great mess 😉 ). Maybe check that the app isn’t installed on sdcard.
Concerning #2…
Some versions of android have a bug involving paid launchers. It has to do with paid apps being installed on a secure partition that is not mounted yet at launcher load time.
There is an app in the play store that can solve this, if that’s what is going on
If your paid launcher is bought by purchasing a key, it doesn’t suffer from this.
#1: a 5×6 grid of page indicators appear in ‘my drawer’ with just a couple of pages of apps and icons are not arranged in grid, I can share screenshot if you share email id
#2: If I set nova it works fine after restart, but llx doesn’t. So it has to have something to do with llx rather than Android. Because of this issue, I am unable to use llx in spite of paying. Pl look into this issue.

Android 5.0.2. MIUI on Xiaomi redmi note 2
I have paid for both llx (lighting launcher Xtreme) as well as Nova via play store. There’s no issue when I use Nova by setting it as default launcher in MIUI. I am taken to Nova after restart. However, when llx is set, it takes me to MIUI launcher rather than llx after restart. I have been using llx for several years and would like to continue. Because of thus issue, I was forced to buy & use Nova.

Nova is purchased by buying a KEY to unlock paid features AFTER installing the free version. LL is simply a paid app. This is the key difference here.
Now having said that, the bug I referred to is in android 4.2, however I have no way of knowing if it exists in your custom rom.

From app drawer, hit menu -> Items -> Compact (or sort A-Z)
#1 I want to clarify that I paid for nova prime from play store same way as paying llx. Did not get any license/key from dev. But perhaps I am not technical enough to understand what you are saying and to understand difference between those two apps. If its indeed a bug in Android, wouldn’t it fail to boot Nova prime also?!

When you pay for Nova Prime, you are not installing a launcher, you are buying a key. You have to have the free version installed first. The key you bought simply unlocks the paid features in the free version already installed.

Pierre Hébert llx used to work fine as default launcher on miui. May be one of the updates caused the issue. If Nova works fine as default launcher, why not llx? Can you pl give a try at this issue? I like llx and would love to use.

Chris Chastain thanks, link is not working in either play store or browser. Searched for “android launcher loader” in play store, no exact matches. There’s one for jellybean. Tried it, did not solve the issue. Anyways. No problem. Shall continue with Nova for now. Thank you for taking time and looking into the issue. 👍
