This is embarrassing, and someone please point me to the FAQ where I might find the answer, but I just downloaded LL to my Nexus 5 and loving it. Only, I can’t find a way to add anything the app drawer at the bottom of the screen. I see in the tutorials where I should go to Customize LL and Select App Drawer. But the only menu items I see under “Lightning Settings” are “All Settings” and “Desktop Settings” and I’m not seeing the App Drawer section. Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Sending you a message on hangouts in case you need any help.

I think you meant to go to lightning shortcuts instead of settings

For easy access, set your menu key to open the Lightning menu.

go to All settings > General > Events & actions > Menu key

    choose Lightning Menu

This confirms what I was saying the other day, people are use to app drawer, all apps is confusing for people new to LL

Jacob Lavender : thanks very much for your assistance. In case it’s of use to other newbies, here’s the process Jacob guided me through:

First add item to Launcher, there are two ways:

Hold down anywhere on blank space and click “add item”, then find the short cut and click it once.

Or press the menu button and click add item from there, or just go into the app drawer and long press the item you want and hit “add to launcher”

    Then long press the item

    Then click customize item

    Then click copy style

Then click one of the others items in the drawerTo copy its formatting

you can edit all of those little settings after you long press the item, customize item

My initial reaction to all this, btw, was Geez! that’s a long and convoluted process to get there. But my immediate second reaction was: Wow! The flexibility this offers!

    Thanks all for the help.

Cool but It makes no difference to me what its called I know my way around it now so the names aren’t important. I’m just thinking of people new to LL 🙂 although I do prefer app drawer.

Can anyone remember what launchers they have used up to now and why they stopped using them?
