Did the App Drawer opening animation ever become customizable? I find it really annoying that every app has a slide up animation yet the App Drawer has a fade animation.

By default this animation is selected by the android system based on various criteria (I don’t recall exactly which but this is something like new task, same app, single activity, etc.)
Was there ever any change with the app drawer animation customisations? I’ve just started playing with lightning launcher for vertical scrolling with KLWP. I currently use Nova launcher that allows for various app drawer animation customisation. Using LL I find that the app drawer animation is too slow. I don’t mind it being a fade animation but a 1->2 second delay between pressing my app drawer icon and the actual app drawer opening is a deal breaker for me. Novas app drawer opens instantly.

There were several scripts changing the start animation of any app. You can use them on the app drawer. I think there was no slide up though.

Scott Almond Lightnings drawer is not the best. But lightning contains the architecture to use a better alternative drawer in a container. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.faendir.lightning_launcher.appdrawer

Thanks Lukas Morawietz , I’ll give it a go later today. hopefully it will be a smoother experience than LLs built in app drawer.
