    From scripting this is not possible. I guess you can make something similar, well not much, setting a semi transparent white(or black) picture as the background of the panel (I think it support transparency…be sure to use png)



    Another thing that could be done if the background is a static picture is to blur manually the picture as a new one, set it in the panel and use my ‘holes’ script (you’ll need to check my posts) however you won’t be able to scroll the panel, and only with static pictures…a bit complicated and I think it won’t worth it.

    I’m aware of all suggested methods, and none of them is perfect. I rather thought about coding it into launcher itself, so treat this like feature request
