Is it possible to use either Lightning Actions > Go to specified desktop and position or Lightning desktop bookmark as shortcuits from other apps (ie Zooper Widget) to specify a position inside a panel?

When I try to use either of these functions, items on the actual desktop itself (including the panel) changes, but the position of items in the panel itself does not change back to the “bookmarked” state.

If I add a bookmark inside the panel itself it can do what I want, but I cannot access this feature from external apps.

It does not work for panel.

You can create a shortcut inside a panel that will link to a position inside a panel the same way you do it for desktop.

But when you create the shortcut from within an app (ie Zooper) LLX bring you the select desktop screen and you create a link to the desktop ignoring the panel position. I know this is a bit bothering, I tried all possible action that comes to my mind but it is just not possible (yet – I think Pierre identified it as a potential improvement in a previous discussion)

That’s right. One thing that you can, try but I don’t know whether it is possible with zooper, is to modify the shortcut intent text. There is a “p” parameter with a numeric id. This numeric id identify a desktop or panel. If you can replace it with the panel id, then it will work as expected. Now to find the panel id you  can export your setup, open it with a zip file, look into the “pages” directory and find the directory  containing icons of the panel. The directory name is the id.

Do this only if you feel adventurous !!!

Emmanuel Lapierre Thanks for your feedback. Let’s hope that this function may be implemented one day.

Pierre Hébert Thanks for the tip. I might try and see if I can manipulate the shortcut intent text through zooper/tasker. Hopefully I can work something out!
