Just got the launcher, is there any way to get rid of the delay when opening the app drawer or closing a folder?

Just got the launcher, is there any way to get rid of the delay when opening the app drawer or closing a folder? Each time I do one of those there is like a 1 second delay in the action happening.

Not that I’ve found. It was fixed in one build, but then broke in the next update. Almost makes it unusable for me when no other major launcher has this issue.

could just be your device. take it from someone who uses a crop duster of a tablet.

Bryce Smith I have to agree, after using Nova which has no lag issues, this is a problem for me. I’m using a One M8 so its not like it’s running on a slow device

I use a 4yr old device with a 1ghz single core CPU and 1gb ram. Very little lag when opening app drawer and none when closing a folder (haven’t heard that one before). I open the app drawer only seldom, as everything I use normally is accessible from home page in panels and folders. I think this is what most users do.

    Fyi:

Under General I have Keep Lightning Running checked and Minimize Memory Usage unchecked.

160+ user installed apps. No idea if that’s a high or low app count.

I can understand the reason for a delay when opening the app drawer if it contains a lot of apps, but not closing a folder 🙁

While the “Minimize Memory Usage” is not required, it may help anyway.
