so question for you that knows the inner workings of android. can LL be made to toggle like bluetooth. I’m generally interested in this to be used by zooper instead of tasker.

    Why do you not want to use Tasker for this?


    Don’t let the Launcher be bloated with all possible permissions and functionalities that doesn’t belongs to it. The Launcher should only handle the link to endless possibilities rather then include it.

    no idea. I don’t find any information on how to set up creditcard on a play account except when setting up the phone the first time.

    No credit card should be used. Play uses Google wallet.

    I think that both tee bee and Tommy Lacke are right somehow : on one hand using a widget for simple things is overkill and inefficient, and on the other hand this is out of the question to embed everything in the launcher, this is not its job.


    One alternative which is at the heart of the Android system is to use shortcut and intents: they are efficient to manage on the launcher side, and they will trigger the processing outside of the launcher… but often, apps don’t expose a lot of public feature this way and rely on widgets instead…
