I am a noob to LLx and must say it is awesome!   I am looking forward to learning more and perhaps getting into the scripting aspects.

I do have a question that I can’t seem to find here on this community.   I see there are notifications for gmail, but I don’t see a way to get notifications from Exchange/ActiveSync.   Is this possible using LLx or with scripting in some way?

Thanks!

No, unfortunately scripting won’t help you because access to external data needs permissions. As of today LL request permissions for gmail, sms, phone calls, but for nothing is done for Exchange/ActiveSync. I believe that a widget is a better solution for this, at it will bring greater flexibility and more features.

Bummer.   This would be a great addition, because so many launchers/widgets ignore this capability, gmail, yes, exchange, no.

Anyone know of a widget that does this?   I would like the notification to go up in the top corner of the app icon if possible, so the widget would need to be something more like MinimalisticText or something.

Tasker and Zooper widget. you can make it look however you like.

Aslong as exchange puts a notification in your statusbar you should be able to count Its incoming notifications. I do this to get whatsapp notifications.Obviously all this will do is when you get a new notification it will add 1 to the count each time, so if you get multiple notifications at the same time its only going to count it as 1. It might be possible to get the actual contents of the notification with autonotifications new intercept feaure, I havent got round to playing with that yet though so I dunno.

Let me check on that and see if it does work that way. How do you set up ZW to trap the notifications?

You don’t you set up Tasker to do it then you pass the variable counts to ZW using ZWs tasker plugin

Note: I dont use exchange/Activesync so this might not even work if your up for trying it you need Tasker and Zooper Pro (I think) you can get a free Trial of Tasker from the play store description.
