I just started using this launcher.

I just started using this launcher. While designing a UI , I have placed a widget at the very bottom of the screen. There is a small gap between the bottom of the widget and the bottom edge of the screen. I know in other launchers this is resolvable by adjusting the grid size. Is this also a solution for Lightning Launcher? Does anyone have any suggestions or preferences ? Thanks in advance .

Screw the grid free modes the way to go put stuff anywhere with that

If you prefer to use a grid 1 thing you could do is set up your home screen using a grid then once your happy with it turn the grid of and move the widget so it fills the gap.

You can set the desktop row height to X amount of rows instead of x amount of pixels.

Settings > current desktop > layout > grid rows

Thanks for the solutions guys. Yes I prefer using a grid for most of my set ups because its just easier to align things. I will try all of your solutions and find what’s best for me. Thanks again

Ok so I have tried all of your solutions and I still have the same gap. Maybe I should also note that this is happening when I pin the widget.

Long tap on the widget then tap it once and this will put the widget into scale mode, scale it so it fits.

Most widgets have padding so they dont fit perfect. Solutions to make them fit will probably make them over flow to the next page and change scrolling behavior if that was a previously empty screen

I believe this padding started in jellybean.

I can get it to work to fix the gap without it being pinned. Once I pin it,it moves it up a touch. I guess this is an issue with pinning. Another frustrating issue I am having,if anyone has suggestions,is after I get my set up done which is widgets lined up vertically on multiple screens vertically and another to the left taking up only one page. I pinned them horizontal and the single one vertical. Issue is after pinning them they move and when I try to reposition them they snap back. Snap is disabled

Imo mess with everything. Poke around see what they do and figure them out.

Then reset everything and start over…

Seems like every time I pin something it messes up their position of where I placed them. Giving it a break for the night

Did you try ‘honour pinned mode’ uncheck? (In general settings)

Keep in mind that, with this mode, pinned items will only be shown if they are in the main part of the screen, the one that is shown when you zoom 100p (off topic: seriously, is there a word for this place? I need to describe it every time )
