Question: Is it possible to force a panel to go to its default page?

Question: Is it possible to force a panel to go to its default page?

I made a ‘slide to unlock’-like lockscreen. Actually it is: slide to find the unlock button.

I have put the unlock button on the second screen of a panel. This works as expected….. Once. 🙁

A second time I come on the lockscreen the panel still shows the second page.

Is there a way to force the panel or the lockscreen to reset?

I would like this as a selectable option, also. Sometimes you may rather have the panel stay where it was.

I have been wishing for this as well. I would love to have the panel return to my clock

What I did: “screen off” event is set to “go to home”. Seems to work.

Go to home screen do not reset the panel for me.

I tried the same thing. You can create shortcuts to send the panel to its initial screen. But you can’t trigger the shortcut from an apps.

    To do that you can:

With tasker + autoshortcut, you can create a task with

    a) intent action that trigger the shortcut (this require to know how to use intent, I was given the code to use but couldn’t get it to work, I don’t know whether root is required for that)

    b) unlock screen.

Emmanuel Lapierre Jappie Toutenhoofd Sure you can go to ANY position without Tasker. Just position the screen to the place you want to start at. Then, from there (!) open LL settings (not current desktop), All settings, General, Actions & Events and for “screen off” (or “on”) choose action “Desktop & Position”. Same function as setting desktop bookmark. That’s it.

Lutz Linke  Except it does not work for panel.

This operation does not remember position of panel. It will bring you to the correct desktop page but will keep the position of the panel as is before running the action

This only work when creating a shortcut inside the panel you want to set. But if using a shortcut from outside the panel it does not work.

Emmanuel Lapierre is right. I will make a screen cast tomorrow.

Emmanuel Lapierre Jappie Toutenhoofd Oh, I see. Sorry, read it wrong, and my try was with a panel above an unlock button which had to be pushed away completely. You are right, that does not work.

Pierre Hébert We need a shortcut action “go to bookmark…” just like “open folder…” with a bookmark as target 😉

I don’t know your exact setup but why not just invert what you have inside your panel and what is on your desktop.

The desktop will reset itself to the home page upon locking. This of course is only good if the items you move in to the panel won’t require you to slide between desktops in the panel.

Yes I was thinking of that. The usual thinking out of the box and have the whole desktop slide and keep the panel looked.

Ya I forgot to add the panel would need to be pinned but it should do the trick.

In fact to do a slider you don’t need a panel, just to pin all item on the desktop and let the desktop slide.

But this prevent using desktop sliding for your lockscreen.
