Preview of my next little project.
Preview of my next little project.
Don’t worry if you don’t understand what’s happening, I’ll publish it soon (when some minor bugs get resolved)
Quick explanation: make the script you want just selecting the subscripts. A fully ready-to-use script will be created. No programming skills needed (just copy/paste)
Important: I used my ‘fast run’ tool to run the script.
In the video the script is:
Go to home desktop
Wait one second
Zoom 100p
Wait one second
Go to desktop bookmark
Wait one second
Zoom 100p
Unlock screen
Edit: yes, I like to make scripts that make scripts…scriptception! :D

Sounds awesome….can’t wait for the video to upload already! 😀

Thanks. However this is a bit limited because the API don’t let you make a lot of things(of the list of lightning shortcuts I mean). Well, maybe Pierre Hébert will consider it after this ;)

this would be a great option to add to LLx 11.0

Looks nice, but nothing for me 🙂 I just have fun coding by myself

I made it thinking in no-programmer users, but you can also learn from the script itself.
Make a script that makes scripts is relatively easy, but you need to know well the language and what are you writing. ;)

I learn from every of your scripts 🙂

Lukas Morawietz me too, I also like to create my websites with notepad sometimes. But when I used to do tech support I learned pretty quickly that once you’ve solved the same problem three thousand times it can become tedious. If someone else has already done the work I’d rather spend my time inventing new things.
something like this would be an incredibly powerful way to address the objections to using lightning from people who are too frightened of, intimidated by, too busy or simply not interested in writing code.

Good news! I finally made all lightning shortcuts that are available from scripting (I can’t open the settings…yet)
Once the bug with the open folders get resolved I will publish it!
If you have any suggestion you can post it here 😉
And a question: do you think is good to add at the end of the output script “//Made with TrianguloY’s script maker tool”
It’s only one line, you can delete it after…But I prefer to ask.

Of course you should add it! I’m sure that this (along with scripting enthusiasts) will help bring scripting to a more wider audience!
I know that with this I’m going to start playing with scripting, but without this it would be too overwhelming next to school and private life!
Again – great work!

TrianguloY you could add a copyright notice. If you share your script, then it is open source and it is fair to let people know who is the author, what they can do with the script, etc. Putting a credit line somewhere is IMHO justified.

< ![CDATA[
Thanks. But I was referring to the output script (the original script maker will be in the wiki, I’ll add the credit there)
Remember, this is a script that makes scripts

Yes, I was including this, this is generated code, but that’s your right anyway

You can always put your name under something your software has produced, if your software does the main part of the product, which is in this case true.
