Community changes:
1) I sorted the categories so the most used ones are first. What do you think?
2) I don’t know how long the description of the community supports links, and I don’t really know why we decided to leave the links in a pinned post. I posted the links there (except the LL ones) because I think the ‘pinned post feature’ is better for important current news like active betas, contests, etc.
Both changes are easy to undone or modify. Open to discussion.
If you like them we can modify also the Users community.

1) I don’t care. It probably does make sense, if you use them at all, which I don’t.
2) I think the initial problem was that the app wasn’t displaying this text in the beginning. So it’s a historical reason and there is none now. I like it.

I wish g+ would let u pin more than one post.. In our tech community, we really need to be able to pin more than one

I agree. The pinned post should be aimed more at current information. And Lukas is correct also, the links to the tutorials etc is on the homepage when you install the launcher. The one thing I think would be nice or helpful, is if the tutorials (wiki) link was actually incorporated into the menu under all settings. (Probably next to rate and the G+ links). I don’t want to delete that folder because I use it for reference, so I end up with a desktop with nothing but that folder on it. Of course I’m one of those guys who downloads service and owners manuals and reads them cover to cover before I buy something. I actually have a filing cabinet full of nothing but owner’s manuals. Haha

thomas greer lol I do that too… But it would be cool to hide folders like some folders I want jus a shortcut to from a gesture or something and have to have a separate page…. Now unless there’s a way to do that already lmao

I guess I could just make it transparent and nonclickable, but then I would have to remember where I put it. I can’t even remember what I had for lunch!

1) good idea
2) desc of the community is fine from a PC but not displayed from a smartphone so keep the pinned post.
And yes Google must allow more than 1 pinned post.

Bruno-Isa LAMOUR-ARNOULD are you sure it isn’t? As Lukas said it wasn’t in the past, but now it is displayed if you go to the community page (and click the arrow if the info is hidden)

< ![CDATA[
the arrow itself is like hidden ^^ search for it, it’s there.

Pierre Hébert?
Lukas Morawietz, yes, but I think it is not the first time you visit the community, or at least when I visit other communities it is showed (and the first thing you see). That’s why I decided to change that.

It seems fine for me. With an older version of the G+ app, the text can be displayed with “…”. The arrow displays the list of categories. I can’t update it right now, so I can’t tell for newest version.

So:
1) unpin the pinned post with the links
2) pin the latest post with the changelog of the current beta version
3) do the same in the users community (but no post with current version changes there…keep the current pinned one? )
Pierre Hébert, I saw you edit the pinned post changing the current version. With this change you will need to edit the link, and you can only do that from a computer.
Another way is to not write there the current version (it will be in the pinned post)
If you agree I’ll made those final changes this evening.

That’s good for me.
Editing the version is not an issue since I usually use a computer when publishing updates.
I’ll probably try this tonight 😉

I changed the users community too
…
But I made a mistake! I wrote the LL link as the stable version, instead of the LLX one.
Can someone with a computer fix it?
[Edit] done
