Fabrice Fournier the last time I checked it was hardcoded in the source code of the rom (if launcher=nova or launcher=adw or launcher=apex, then enable transparent status bar). It was paranoid source code IIRC, but was quite a long time ago. All this stuff is specific.

I will have a look at 4.4 as soon as possible, but anything else will be different and not supported…
Nova has a long switch “try this method, if this does not work try this other one, if this still does not work, try this third method” and so on.
