I am on one desktop with 3 screens.

I am on one desktop with 3 screens. If i go from first to second, nothing doing, now i go from second screen to third screen. Again nothink doing, only i tap to hardware back button.

I expect that after I push back button I will on the second screen. But now i am on first screen. – same function if i press home button.

Back button goes to the main page of the desktop. Maybe you need to consider using more desktops…or a script, won’t be very difficult to make.

Danbar Danbar might be having the same error I was getting for a while. I had a script in a template the generated a null pointer error, and after that happened, setting the home desktop didn’t work anymore.

re Android semantics of back & home: Thanks to Pierre Hébert we can, of course , set the keys to do anything we want (feature request: Pierre can you write a script to run my espresso machine for me? ,-). But ‘back’ is usually a more general command to put the cursor location back one level in the stack, whatever that last place may have been ‘Home’ is a command to go to a specific place, every single time.

I just noticed that I had a desktop where the home key event was set to ‘go to a specific desktop and position ‘ instead of being set to ‘go to home desktop. ‘ when I changed the setting for every single desktop to ‘go to home desktop,’ everything worked as I expected.

Danbar Danbar Have you checked that?

Curtis Sylvester Jr. Thanks, Ihonestly put that stuff there about back and home, to help clarify it in my own mind. It didn’t occur to me until then to check to check the programming of the home button events on every desktop. 🙂

Carolyn Boyle regarding the espresso machine, I need it’s API reference ,and also it’s IP address! Do you think I can query the level of remaining water, or its current temperature ? It would be nice to get these data on the home screen 😉

Danbar Danbar regarding the back behavior and the history, LL doesn’t keep track of moves inside a desktop because it is generally not very useful. Most of the time it is “chaotic” and coming back to home is probably the best thing to do, but indeed a small script could help you to do what you want.

Pierre Hébert I’m laughing, thank you. BTW it would be nice to also monitor frothing parameters for when I’m in the mood for a cappuccino 😉

Carolyn Boyle me to 😉 Another solution would be to directly port LL on the coffee machine CPU, there is a CPU in everything nowadays, even in watches, lol!
