Stop points stop inertial scrolling, not dragging. Then you need to deselect the “Snap to pages” option, otherwise a full page is scrolled each time and stop points are bypassed.

now that i am using scrolling stop points to display a power widget on above page without having to scroll to th entire page th idea of “Stop points in a given direction (up, down, left, right)” would be a welcome feature.
i do however like and dislike th behaviour of being able to drag past a stop point to bypass it. it’s good when wanting more than just th widget on that page, although it would be a benefit to not be able to bypass a stop point accidentally and it would be a simple matter of just two quick scrolls to get past a stop point.
Will “Stop points that also stop dragging, not just scrolling” be configurable?

Yes they will. There will be a “Customize” entry in the long tap menu.
