Hey gang, I have installed 4.4 factory image on my N4.
The wallpaper setting/cropping has changed in android system, it is no longer anchored to th centre but I think to th left. There is no grid tool any more it uses a full screen interface.
To centre an image for LL you line th centre of th image up with th right edge minus about 5mm. Then there is a slight shift with th first time app draw is opened. It is quite fiddly now trying to get an image in th centre of th LL homescreen.
Does th LLX wallpaper picker have cropping or do you still need to use an image that is exactly screen size?

I really need the 4.4 update, but the OTA isn’t coming, grrr… I will have to install it manually…
Anyway, the wallpaper picker is handled by third party apps, not the launcher. In fact the launcher doesn’t even set the wallpaper itself (except when restoring a backup or template). All it does is delegate the job to another app.

I meant in regard to th ll multi desktop wallpaper, th one ll loads over th top of th system wall paper. Does it still need to be exact screen size?

No, you can use the size you want, but it won’t be scaled, hence if it is too big some parts won’t be visible and if it is too small, the system wallpaper will be visible at the screen edges.
