No. Some of the themes posted in this community downloaded as zip files.

Not sure, but maybe you are talking about backups. In this case you need to put them on a folder called LightningLauncher* and then go to settings/restore and choose it.
*if you don’t know which folder, make a backup and you’ll have the folder.
