Just curious if I am missing something.
Just curious if I am missing something. I’ve been using parts of the drawables file you can get from Pierre’s site as background / selection images.
Often for a uniform look, I’ll set an image at the desktop level, though I think the same problem would exist with single icons too. This means there’s no method for me to select “None” as an image choice on an individual item on that desktop any longer.

When you select Background Image, on the resulting list, pick Default Icon.

Chris Chastain When you select Default Icon for an individual item, it will set the image to what was universally set. This is really a problem.
A workaround is to make a completely transparent PNG, and use that for the individual item.

Well, “None” for an item would be an exception… But Gábor Barta is right, a blank image is the only way to do this.

Ok, but if nothing is universally set, this works right? Because I’d almost swear this has worked for me in the past.

Yes if the default desktop item has no image it works. Otherwise it applies the image.

You mentioned “drawables ” file. Could you please tell me how
to here it?

You can find the link when long tapping on the image options (for instance under the box editor)
