Is there a way , either through scripting or some other way, to refresh the #appdrawer in the background?

Is there a way , either through scripting or some other way, to refresh the #appdrawer in the background? Sometimes, when I have a lot of apps installed, I get kind of sea-sick watching that little circle on the screen spinning around :-P

Why do you need to refresh it?

I only refresh it once, but because with beta versions things can go wrong.

(Answering your question: no, you can’t. Sorry)

TrianguloY please trade devices with me X-P It may be because of my phone’s limitations, I almost always need to refresh the app drawer when I install new apps, which I I am constantly doing.

In addition, when I load a backup created on a different device, or created when different apps were installed, if the app drawer is not refreshed, I get the app drawer that existed at the time the backup was created instead of what is currently on the phone.

Sometimes the app drawer refresh seems to take forever, and sometimes I think it probably gets stuck in an infinite loop or something, because cancelling it trying again later often results in a refresh that’s much faster.

i find myself manually refreshing the app drawer too but only on rare occassions that the new app i want isnt showing yet. my biggest concern is is with the app drawer being treated as a seperate app all in its own.

    It seems. 🙁

You are not the only one with that bug, I’m lucky I know.

I can understand it when loading the backup, I don’t think it is a bug.

And the refresh time…I can’t say anything. Pierre Hébert will help us understanding.

its not as rare as i would like but ive come to accept the refresh. as far as the app drawer being treated like a seperate app theres no fix. my device sees llx as a seperate app too which is annoying as f**k but thats because i have to use a bulls**t loader because my device is too fucking stupid to just load llx as the default launcher. ok i held back the first 2 times but now im pissed.

    hmmm….

Am I the only one not using the app drawer? I use it only when I set up my shortcuts.

Well, I use it mainly to know which apps I have, I have a simple ‘folders’ app drawer. Every time I install a new app it is placed outside the folders, so I can forget about it and test it after. Then I just put it in his folder (games, tools, Google…)

That’s why I’m sure I never had the ‘the installed app is not shown’ bug. Maybe three/four times since I have LLX.

I tried that before but peoples were complaining the app was slow because the refresh process that was taking place in the background was slowing down the device. But in theory this should be rare enough to not bother too much about it ?

Bogdan Tautu you are not the only one, I don’t.
