Some dudes made a petition to get more devs to add Tasker integration to there apps, I no this on the to do list for LLX but here is a post from the dev of Tasker.

As regards launchers: would be nice to specifically mention the home screen selection extra:

(for the Go Home action)

I hope that any integration with automation applications is generic. I know that tasker is probably the most popular but it is not in my humble opinion the best. If I automate it is with Automagic.

Taskers not exactly easy to master, but Its a fact its easily the best Its more feature packed than its competitors and thats important, In fact there’s only 1 other app I can think of that let’s its users build standalone android apps using nothing but there phone and that is AIDE.

And that’s only for real developers it took me ages to build a simple PS1 Rom Downloader in AIDE I’m not a developer though so yeah it was quite hard, but I managed to build the exact same thing in Tasker in under half an hour and tbh most of that time was spent designing the UI.The problem with Tasker is people don’t want to learn how to use it which IMO is plain stupid, Once you no the basics its a must have app sure it costs 2.99 (I http://think.it is now) and that might seem steep to some people but you can export your projects and sell them on GPlay or whatever. Think about it what’s 2.99 when you can sell your own Tasker made app and make more money than you paid for the app you used to make it. Its genious its the same with Pierre and LLX you buy the app for (no idea how much LLX is) and you can export and sell your templates like some people have been doing. making more than what you paid for LLX in the 1st place.

I used to use tasker and it is powerful. But other than creating stand alone apps, Automagic can do everything, and is easier with its dynamic flowchart approach. My only point is that integration should be at a plugin and variables level so most open automation programs can be used.

I agree Automagic is a lot easier but its definitely not the best anyways atleast you didn’t refer to Tasker as a Toy like one dude did, How an app that can make you more money than what you paid for it can be called a Toy is beyond me, He was smoking crack for sure lol

Yeah, I am annoyed by recurrent emails about that. I will have to add this to the spam filter…

    I can add this extra.

“Tasker integration” needs to be defined, there are a lot of things behind these two words.

by the way, do you know who are these dudes and where it has been announced ?

For me tasker integration would consist of possibly plugins for both events, and possibly actions. So as an example if I switched desktops a task could be triggered. Then also within a task I could perform actions like opening a folder, etc.

Also, being able to use tasker compatible variables as dynamic text opens a whole world of possibilities.

Tasker’s Go Home action may not work in LL, but LL provides more powerful action (go to desktop&position). So we can go to any desktop/any page/any postion.

Tasker’s Go Home action is limited to only 1~20 screen page. Hmm TOO small… LL(X?) provides infinite postion, kikiki. Don’t use Taskers Go Home action, just use Auto Shorcuts plugin with LLs shortcut action.

LL is currently one of most Tasker-controllable launcher.

KyungJoon Lee could you share how you do this please? I’ve managed to do it a couple of times successfully but I’ve never worked out exactly how I’ve done it and most of the time I can’t get the position to work.

Mike Bishop You mean you want to make a Tasker action which moves launcher’s screen to some desktop’s some page, right? And you already knows AutoShortcut Tasker plugin, right?

KyungJoon Lee yes that’s correct and I have both of those. iirc it seems like the action hasnt done anything and you have to do it again through LL then go back to tasker and exit out of it. Is that along the right lines?

KyungJoon Lee Interesting I wonder if I can use that to go to my 1st desktops 2nd page
