Under desktop settings we can swipe left to get a preview of the desktop, I think it would be cool if the little + icons for the grid were shown in the preview I still get confused between rows and columns and this would help me a lot when setting up a desktop.

It would also make setting up the grid faster/easier instead of having to go back to the homscreen to see the results.

Cheers.

I have another idea, because the preview even with crosses will remain a preview and may have differences with the real desktop (size is a difference).

I will try to embed the settings screen directly inside the desktop, this way no preview needed, changes are seen directly on the desktop.

Sry, didn’t quite understand, just have to ask because it sounds great and useful – did you mean that we could see something like a live desktop instead of the preview or that settings screen would be able to become a part of the desktop (something like swipe up in my homescreen to get to the settings part?)

Either way (or a third or a fourth way) it sounds awesome!

Taavo Allik yes exactly, as if the settings screen was a widget, or maybe a side bar.

But not sure yet whether I will be able to do this !

Pierre Hébert Alright, sounds cool! No hurry, take your time.

On a sidenote – in the latest release are the items doused to rotate if autorotation is turned off? And I’ve wondered for some time now, where should the selection effect be visible?
