I don’t know if I’m missing something, but I’m running into a consistent problem with the app drawer in alphabetical mode.
The pages don’t line up with the sorting rows, so you’ll get something like :
CJJ…
DLL…
Is it possible to set things so the apps are either sorted in columns or the sort width is the same as the page width?

This reminds me, I also have a problem with apps showing up multiple times in the app drawer, but I’m not actually sure if that’s lightning launcher’s fault. Either way, there are examples of duplicate apps in both screens shots.
For the duplication issue (it happens more often than it should) just click the three dots menu, then refresh and they should be fixed.
For the bad sorting, in horizontal mode the apps are sorted like in vertical mode page by page. You say that the column belong to the previous page,
Which layout configuration and scrolling configuration do you have?
What if you zoom out, is that first column always wrong?
