If you mean cyanogenmod, yes.
You need your device rooted to flash another firmware.

If you are using android 4.4+ you can use adb. Just search ‘record screen kit Kat’.

I use Recordable.
TL;DR –
There’s a free version with the only (as far as I can remember) limitation being a low fps. The paid version wasn’t that expensive either, but I haven’t had the need, time or resource for that yet =D
The dev is also quite quick to answer – I disliked the recording having audio, requested for a no audio option and the next day there was an update with it already!
If I remember correctly, then it works with root too, if you ever decide to get rooted. Works great without root, you only have to install a PC client and hook your phone to your PC after every boot or app update (for recordable; which are quite frequent).
Has quite many options IMHO.

TrianguloY I actually haven’t used it with 4.4.2 yet, as I was a bit hesitant to take the update and don’t use screen recording that often.
But it should work – the latest changelog mentioned fixing some issue for Samsung phones running 4.4.
As far as I know these apps should also use the whatever “magic” is done via adb, but you don’t have to mess around so much yourself.

Curtis Sylvester Jr. Yes, you only have to hook it to a PC for a minute. And you have to do this again if you restart your android or the app updates itself.
It should work with 4.1.1 ! But as I’ve noticed your device doesn’t want to play nice always! Hope it works (and if it doesn’t, then others work the same as far as I’ve seen, but is hard to find a proper free version or one that is as inexpensive)
