Copy and paste between desktops? (LLX)

Please forgive me if this is obvious, but I can’t seem to find a possibility to copy and paste items between desktops. As long as I’m on a single desktop, the “copy style from…” option works well enough, but I don’t seem to be able to do that between desktops. Is there a copy and paste function hidden somewhere that I’m missing?

Rick Swartz as of today only move is possible. technically copy is possible except for widgets. Since the feature wasn’t complete (and because of laziness…) I didn’t enabled it at all. This feature is on the TODO list, I guess the most complex thing would be to find a proper place in the menu because this menu is becoming too long…

Pierre Hébert I worked for many years on a very complex piece of music publishing/composing software called Finale. When we ran into the problem with too many features on a menu we added an advanced choices section to the menu that could expand and collapsed. That way the casual user would not have deal with the choices while the power user could access them when needed.

So I think the best is to replace the “Pick app to launch” (or “Pick another widget”) item by a new one “More actions…” which would in turn open “Pick app to launch, copy to screen, duplicate”. The “Pick app to launch” is not a frequently used feature.

Pierre Hébert Sounds like a good solution to adding options without overwhelming people with menu options.

I like the “More actions…” solution.
