I’m not sure if this has been asked/answered already, but is there a way to pin widgets off screen?

Hey, it seems that everybody is asking about that at the moment !

The good news is that I just made a post about this in the “App update” section. Basically not in v8.4, but yes in v8.5b1 (beta)

    is this what you mean….

i have widgets pinned horizontally above and below my home screen so that no matter how far i scroll sideways on th level of th home screen they remain above and below.

you could do th same vertically, so a couple of things could be off to either side and no matter how far up or down you went they would just be one swipe off to th side.

you just pin them with customize, more, +, pin mode hori or vert so they can still move in one direction and drag them to th page you want in edit mode.

Klyntone Bourserk this works in free mode, but not in grid mode, where the item will be automatically moved back to the main page.

Klyntone Bourserk thanks for that tip! Pierre Hébert I read that just after posting :-$ Although I didn’t realise that this was actually already possible! It’s kinda confusing when the pinned widget doesn’t zoom out like the unpinned ones. I thought they were stuck on the visible workspace!

    Cool!

Robert Poulton yes this is confusing, this is why the default behavior is to keep them pinned. In a older version items were never pinned in edit mode but it created a lot of confusion. I hope that with this new checkbox it will still be understandable for newcomers and in the same time advanced users will be able to benefit from it
