New folders have somehow lost the ability to open and the only solution that I found is to copy the style on older ok-folder to the new one. Where can I correct the faulty configuration of the new folders once for all?

If you go to edit mode with nothing selected, you are editing the defaults for new objects. I suspect you may have changed the tap action there inadvertently.
Thank you. LL Settings > General > Events and actions > Tap is set to “Launch item” and it is not possible to change it to “Unset” or “Restart item”. It changes back to “Launch item”. And new folders will still not open until I copy upon them the style of an folder that opens.
Ok, that’s not what I said. Long press empty space and tap the pencil icon.
You must do this without long pressing an item.
You are now in edit mode.
Tap the brush icon, use the EVENTS tab. How is it set?
In the EVENTS tab of empty space all Events are set to “Unset”.
And I see the same “Unset” setting at all events in new folders that don’t open as well as in old folders that do open.
That’s about all I can think of. Maybe try a new desktop, and get rid of the old one.
It is the same problem on both desktops. But it is not so bad, becuase I can still solve it with a copy of the settings from a working folder.

I’ll give it some more thought, but maybe something got corrupted that a fresh start would fix.
