Yeah. The climate is hard to pass up. Having lived in PA for most of my life, Colorado was a nice relief. lol.  I really like this lightning app. Wondering if purchasing the extreme is worth it? (it’s not that much, just wondering if I should)

I like to support by purchasing when i like an app and use it a lot. I don’t know that it’s missing much in the free version though.

One thing I noticed is that there are no notifications for mail or messages. That’s apparently included in the extreme version.

Oh really? Oh well. I use it mostly for the freedom of moving things. I make most everything else with uccw. That allows noti counts. You may want to have a look at ss launcher. I purchased that. It’s like lightning but easy. I use that mostly unless I’m doing a big project home screen. It seems to me that ll lost some features when he introduced extreme. Used to be that just a couple widgets and the app drawer (which was a separate app) cost money. I bought lightning drawer back then and use it when i use other launchers. I lost my backup of the old ll so in hanging on to the drawer app for dear life! 🙂 i actually have an apk of it i modified to make the icon different in sense launcher on my ViperOne. Sorry I’m rambling. Anyway if you haven’t, check out uccw. If be happy to help you with it if you like. I make widgets and shortcuts with it all the time. Also check out seriously crazy’s playground on xda. He has tons of icons and uccw skins as well as zooper skins ( like uccw but more powerful and more complex) and people share their screens, icons, etc there.

If you’ve seen my car dock screen or my corvette layout, that’s all uccw. Except the appointment widget. That’s zooper.

I will definitely look into it. Unfortunately, I have android 2.3.4 which limits many of the apps that are compatible. I’m so new to all of this. If it’s easy let me know and I’ll give it a try. 🙂

So I downloaded uccw, but zooper is incompatible. I will look at it tonight. Any tips appreciated. Have a good night.

Yea idk if uccw works with old versions like that. You’d have to check for it in the play store.

I’ve started using the uccw, but it’s confusing to me. Maybe there are instructions somewhere? Otherwise, I’ll keep trying.

Menu, help, Instructional video, etc… Also check out seriously crazy’s playground for skins. There’s a uccw thread on xda. If you’re good with graphics you can do some really cool looking stuff. I use photoshop touch right on the phone (unreal for 4 or 5$)

Okay thanks. I was trying to do something in the app and the menu has image 1, 2, 3, etc, but you cant see them unless you add them. I tried to add text notification…but all that was there was a # and no description of what it was.?!? I found the developer’s website so will check out the tutorials there. Love learning new things. It’s addicting. I like the battery widget you have on one of your pics but couldn’t see how to do that in uccw. I’ll figure it out eventually. May have some questions for you occasionally…if that’s okay. Thanks.

Yea any time. You can get me easier on hangouts adamlee011@gmail.com. The batrery bars are the easiest. Just check it off in the item list then edit it. Change the colors length width round it whatever. Its just tough Sometimes to know what a certain parameter does or which one does what you’re trying to do. Just try stuff out and do some digging. You should see some of the stuff people do. Like music player widgets. There’s a thing called media…. Something or other. I forgot. Media utilities! I think. That works with zooper and supposedly uccw. There’s a tutorial somewhere. May have been sc who wrote it. Anyway get a little bit comfortable with uccw and if you enjoy it you can think about getting zooper. Media player widgets I’d say are quite a way down the road for you 😉 i tried and made a very simple one just to see it work. Had big ambitions like building it into the home screen. I was going to have an image in a window at the top half of the screen and have it change to album pic and track info when playing. I set the project aside and never picked it back up.
