For some reason, when I set in some widgets (not all) a gesture (in my case swipe left) to launch shortcut-something (for example, do nothing). When you swipe, the widget is clicked and it open the app.
I think it happen with no-buttons widgets, those who just open the app when pressed, no buttons.
Also for me it only happen with swipe left/right, not up/down.

This has probably something to do with scrollable widget detection (hence the left/right effect not seen on up/down). On which widget in particular can this behavior be seen?

I couldn’t find a ‘common’ widget, so this is the main one I’m having problem with:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=klwinkel.huiswerk
The widgets are non scrollable and compatible with old android versions…maybe that’s the reason.
(Try with scroll left, launch shortcut, ll shortcut, do nothing)

I have similar issues, but it seems to happen only when the swipe gesture ends (finger leaves screen) within the boundary of the widget (no difference if the swipe triggered the closing of the widget folder, the app still opens when ending the gesture).
The fact that it’s only a right/left issue might be due to the reduced screen size (smartphone example) with respect with vertical axis
