Okay.

Okay… So I’ve had some time to really dig into the launcher and man, it’s so awesome! Can’t wait to show off my layout once it’s all done.

Two questions, if somebody wouldn’t mind:

1. Is there really no way to drag/drop a folder pop-out location? Setting it by sliders is tedious. I want 2 icons to pop out when I tap an icon (FB and FB Messenger). I’d like them to appear just above the folder icon. I did get it, but I had to use sliders to get it there.

2. For some reason, all my icons on one desktop are coming up invisible. I know how set the opacity on an individual basis, but I can’t seem to find a setting global to that desktop. Where is it hiding?

  1. 2: Default settings can be edited when no item is selected.

Lukas Morawietz wow thanks! Had no idea it was that simple.

  3. Jay M says:

    1. No idea what you mean so il let someone else take that question.

    2. Like Lukas said, if you bring up the edit toolbars at the top of them it should say “no option” this lets you know nothing is selected then just press the paint brush icon to change the containers property’s. Obviously if something is selected you should see a load of stuff like kill uninstall etc.

  4. Richard Ward says:

So with the folder thing… When you place a folder, it creates that darker rectangle, which you put icons in. When you open the folder, it pops a smaller rectangle with the icons in it. I’m trying to figure out if there’s a way to drag/drop that small rectangle so you can position where it will appear when the folder is opened.

  5. Jay M says:

Ah na there isn’t drag and drop support for that, it might be possible to do with script but I dunno.

  6. Richard Ward says:

    Nooooo! Haha.

Maybe I’m not using the right tool for the job. Do you think a panel would be more appropriate? Maybe I could set an icon to act as a trigger to hide/show it.

My intention is to have a Facebook icon that pops the main app and the messenger icons just above it.

  7. Jay M says:

Na I’d use a folder me, ya mean ya looking for a fab effect?

  8. Richard Ward says:

Took a lot of slid-baring to get those 2 icons to appear above the bottom FB icon. Would have much preferred to drag-and-drop it.

Originally, it was popping up around where that envelope icon is, when I changed to manually set the container location, it opened in the top left corner.

  9. There’s a script for 1 🙂

By the way, did you know that there’s a GB emulator written in JavaScript?

  10. And 1), in hierarchy screen, you can move items…

  11. Check out sidebars. That may be what you want.

  12. Richard Ward says:

David Sprinkle I don’t think so? I don’t need a whole side used, just a small region to show/hide when I tap the icon.

  13. Jay M says:

Cool! So your trying to get the open folders icons to line up with the icons outside the folder? Have you tried this? It says panel but its the same for folders.

  14. Richard Ward says:

I haven’t. I’ll see if it works. This is my first foray into Lightning Launcher, so I’m probably making a ton of “no-nos”. Nothing is attached to a grid – I free-placed everything and used the DPAD for precision.

  15. Jay M says:

If you long press on pretty much all of the settings you will get some info about what they do.

Pierre Hébert missing info for load event.
