I have this outline of a box, which I think is a panel, but which I can’t delete.

Apparently resetting to the default doesn’t get rid of it either.

Aye this is a panel your ryt to delete it you need to go into edit mode (menu/edit layout) then long press the panel and choose the bin icon.

Edit: Your probably trying to delete it by long pressing the panel then choosing the pen icon that edits what’s inside of the panel.

When you go into edit layout make sure no icons are selected on the toolbars.

Jay M thanks for replying. I’ve posted another screenshot. There actually appears to be a panel inside a panel and neither one has a context menu with a trash can available.

Bill, go to edit layout mode by long pressing the desktop, NOT the panel.

The reason for this is that you are not trying to edit the panel, you are wanting to edit the parent container (desktop).

Once you are in edit layout mode of desktop, just select the panel and delete like any other item.

The reason you didn’t have a trash icon, is because you were editing the panel and there is nothing in it to delete.

Hope that clarifies it for you.
