I’ve just switched from Nova to Lightening and am loving the customizable aspects so far although I am still at the bottom of that steep learning curve for now! 😀
One feature I like on Nova was the ability to disable the clock from the status bar while the launcher was displayed. Is this possible to achieve on LL?

(Next Post) Hi TrianguloY I have Dark theme on LL settings »
Settings – Desktop – status bar (I use the german version so I don’t know if the last step is right translated)
D Dietrichs Thanks for your reply, unfortunately that only let’s me hide the entire status bar rather than just the clock.
What you want is something that seems to be only available if the launcher is register as an accessibility service, and lightning is not (did nova required this?)
TrianguloY Nova used to require root access to do this.
And do you have root? In that case I’m sure there is an app/module/setting on the ROM to disable the clock on custom apps
TrianguloY I do, running Tesla ROM on an LG G3. I don’t think the ROM has such a feature, but perhaps I can do something with Tasker and some shell scripting. Thanks!
The easiest way to modify the System UI on a rooted Device is Xposed + GravityBox
Just wanted to comment on a solution I found for this in case someone else wants to achieve the same. I ended up adding a Tasker entry to run the following shell command (as root) when the LL application was active:
settings put system statusbar_clock_style 3
And an exit task of:
settings put system statusbar_clock_style 0
… to switch the status bar clock back on whenever LL wasn’t the active app.
