Hitting a road block creating a gesture (swipe up to direct message a contact) on a sub folder within a sliding folder on my desktop. I have done this to other folders within the sliding folder but for the life of me can’t figure out how to repeat this to the sub folder. What am I missing?

Thanks.

Have you tried: long press sub folder -> pencil icon -> properties -> grey button that de denotes the current category (text by default) -> events -> swipe up

Thanks Colin. O have tried that and once I get to the grey button and select the appropriate heading, t cannot go any further to those settings. Seems to go no further no matter what I do.

Do you mean it doesn’t switch to a different category? Or can you describe it more precisely? Does it work for normal items?

I get to this point and choosing customize item,  properties, selecting grey box I get options shown in image “one”, selected – ‘events’ then option list went away and grey box changes to “events”. (See image “two”. )None of the options on the lower toolbar bring me to gestures for the individual folder. The closest I can get is image “three” which applying shortcut to gesture does not work. Folder name in image “three” is not same as highlighted folder. Other folder icons to the left of highlighted icon have various gesture initiated shortcuts which I applied previously, but I cannot access those gestures either.

Not sure if attached images will show up.

    Thanks for your help.

Aha you’ve minimized the properties window. Just drag the header where it says “Folder ‘(Txt)’ (#6a000d) upwards and the configuration options will appear

Yes! Thank you. I tried moving to to bottom, long press on header but to no avail. I knew it was going to be a small.  oversight. Gesture not working currently for this folder as it does the others but will go through settings later to make sure they match working gestures applied to other icons.

    Thanks Colin.
