I’m now a couple of weeks into LL usage and enjoying the experience.
LL does a lot of things that are impossible with other launchers, but conversely, it’s sometimes hard to do things with LL that are trivial with other launchers.
For example, how do I get icons in a folder to automatically rearrange themselves when I manually move one of them? Or even to move out of the way when I’m trying to drop an icon between two others?
I can’t find anything that governs this.
Thanks in advance.

Go into the desktop settings for that folder and (long press inside the folder and hit the Lil settings icon in the top right corner of the popup menu) and “Miscellaneous ” section and check “swap items” and that does it. Rearrange items is a weird unique one lol… But remember anything any other launcher can do this one can do way more and better. Yes it seems a little difficult at first but once you fall into the groove of it it’s actually very simple you just have to remember that every single thing will use pretty much the same large group of settings like a folder in a desktop has the exact same settings Pages layout just about you’ll figure it out and find that Groove real quick

Thanks.
That’s almost what I’m looking for, but sometimes it’s not an icon swap that I’m looking for, but to shift other icons to the right or left to make room for the one that I’m dragging into place.
Imagine a folder that I want sorted into alphabetical order, except for a single app that I want to appear top left in that folder.
With Nova, I would sort the folder A-Z and then drag one of the apps to the top left. All of the other icons would shift one place to the right to accommodate it.
It doesn’t sound like much, I know, but it’s little things like this that you miss when you try other launchers.
I would have to disagree with you that LL is better at all things. For example, Nova has Tesla Unread for unread notification counts and LL pales in comparison in that area. You can replicate some of that functionality using Tasker, but simple things should be kept simple.
I also see a few quirks with regard to widget resizing; in particular with KWGT.
And LL needs icon normalisation before its desktop can look as slick and uniform as Nova’s.
In terms of raw power, though, yes, LL can’t be beaten. Nested folders, widgets in folders, using Tasker to directly modify the desktop at will, etc. All very cool features.

Ian Macdonald wrt Kwgt, I’ve found that tapping on the widget after re-sizing triggers kustom to adjust itself. If it doesn’t do it automatically, then going into the widget editor, and adjusting the scale of the top layer always fixes it.

Thanks, Carolyn.
KWGT also has a global setting, Widget Size, that can be set to Auto for problems with padding and resolution. That option helps somewhat, but there is still an excess padding issue.

The excess padding can be solved by going into the widget properties and setting the margin to a negative number. I’ve got some right now that are set to -20.

Thanks, Carolyn Boyle. That fixed things up nicely, although I had to use the full -100 on the bottom and half that on the sides.
I’m not sure why I see this only with KWGT, but as long as there’s a solution, I’m not concerned.
