Hi, I want 3 shortcuts on my desktop.
Hi, I want 3 shortcuts on my desktop. HOME, WORK, CAR. When I select one of them, I want that page to now be set as the home page. i.e. I arrive at work, press the WORK shortcut, and then the home page is set to my WORK one until I tell it otherwise. Is that possible via scripting ? If so, is it simple for someone to knock up for me please ?
IE Modify home page identifier via a script.
Thank you.
Nigel

There is a script in the repository that changes home page. You should be able to get that to work for you… I think TrianguloY made it.
Also, if you haven’t installed his Repository Importer app, I highly recommend it!

Are you sure you mean ‘page’ instead of ‘desktop’?
Page: part of a desktop
Desktop: infinite canvas where put items
If you want instead to change the home desktop, Lukas Morawietz made a script available in the repository too

The script changes the home page of a desktop, not the desktop. I want to change the desktop. I am on the repository now looking for the Lukas m script but can’t find it

Hmm, true.
Maybe he didn’t published it. You can search on this community for it.

If you want to change home DESKTOP, Lukas Morawietz script is in his post dated September 16 2014. Sounds like it MAY have issues… 😉

Chris Chastain this “you can’t link from mobile” thing sucks, huh?
The script has no issues, while used correctly. However it has to restart the launcher. There is an additional line in the comments, I would suggest using that.

Got it. Thank you. I’ll give it a go later. That seems to be what I need.

Lukas Morawietz, yes it sucks. I don’t get it… Seems like a ground level feature, and it’s been glaringly missing for way too long.

Chris Chastain you can actually link a post in the app… As long as it is public. That doesn’t make sense at all.
