Why delete my comment :/ all i was saying is it wasnt clear what you were asking. “any change” can mean a lot of things
My Suggestion: Change the icons to ones that match/same style, maybe put a SMS/Call/ etc counter somewhere.

Call is there in the below but i haven’t put sms there because as sms is rarrely use now a days.

I struggled again over your post. And i must say, i like that setup. The three “slide in” buttons on the left. Did you designed them with LLX or are they from a icon pack? Looks cool.
I have made those icons.
