In Apex Launcher there’s a feature that adds a Horizontal and Vertical Margin to the desktop. Would this be possible to do with a script? Can anyone write it for me? I was thinking something simple like a dialog that asks me what size margin I want, so i can have a different size margin for each side of the desktop. Cheers.

You mean like if the desktop was inside a smaller box than the screen size?
What about placing a panel where you want with the size you want and make inside your desktop?

What sense does that make? What you see is a just a part (page) of the desktop. How should it work?
2 ways to accomplish a margin:
– full size panel with margin (kind of a workaround, like TrianguloY suggested)
– default margin for all items on desktop
Or adding margins to individual items on each page. I.e. top/left/right to 4×1 at top, just left to 2×2 in the middle, etc.

Yes this is something that has been requested in the past, same box options for the desktop. Margins and padding are not that useful, but setting a nine patch background would be handy to add a nice screen decoration.
