I’d like to have the long press on back key event kill the current foreground app. I can see there is an event for the long press. Is it possible to assign this action via a script, or is there a better way?

Lightning only reacts to this event while it is in the foreground. Use Gravitybox to do that.

Sadly, I am on a non-rooted HTC One M8. So, anything dependent on Exposed Framework won’t work for me.
