I was actually thinking of making a post about the current state of the LLX Lockscreen. I really think it has a huge amount of potential and with the right development could shine. Widgetlocker is usually the go to but it hasn’t been updated in close to a year and I’m not sure if it’s even still being supported.
A stand alone version of the LLX Lockscreen with a few tweaks could really take off and take over where widgetlocker left off. I’m not sure how big of a project it would be to make it its own app but I believe it could help fund further LLX development.
At the moment the lock screen cannot work if LLX is not set as the default launcher (for technical reasons). This may be an issue that can be tackled though.
But I am not convinced that a standalone lightning lock screen could suceed. For the same reason that LLX will remain a niche launcher, a Lightning Lock Screen would remain a niche lock screen too, with Widget Locker being listed at the top of the search.
In addition, it seems there is a lot of competition in this area, with a lot of marketing stuff, isn’t it ?

I have never heard that word before in my life and im 32yrs old is why I was asking. I don’t know if it’s the right word either hmm maybe Google translate could help with that?
The idea is “an app with very specific goals that is not suited for a mass market but rather a small set of peoples who exactly know what they are looking for”
So basically you’re saying the launcher isn’t intended to go out to the masses but rather to only those who know what they want just as the lockscreen shouldn’t reach the masses. Like saying that you don’t want it reaching out to the wrong hands.

This is not that I don’t want it to, but rather that it is not capable of. This app is too complex, you actually need some sort of brain to use it.
