Restart LLX?
Restart LLX?
I found an LL shortcut for this, but is it also in settings?

Nope would be nice if it was though, I always do it by long pressing LLX in app drawer then choosing kill.

IMHO restarting the app isn’t a normal situation, I am worried to have to put this in the settings screen.

Well, the expert mode says ‘take effect upon reload’…wait a moment, you don’t need to reload the launcher, just go back…
Pierre Hébert, I think is better to remove that (the ‘upon reload’ ) and every time the user press that option automatically go back to the main settings to apply it. It’s the expert option, it’s ok to do this in my opinion.

Pierre Hébert Yeeah that’s true, but what about putting it in settings but as a secret though, maybe long press rate lightning for 5 seconds to restart.

Ok, I mistook reload for restart – so what is reload?
(It’s from Expert Mode setting I got idea to look for restart, otherwise maybe not needed. I think I had it Holo Launcher though)

Kjell Hensman what I said, just press back. The setting is instantly updated, the only screen that need to ‘restart’ is the one you are seeing.

when i press the back button 68% of the time i get the menu app for jellybean launcher loader so to avoid that i just press HOME

Indeed reload in settings is not meaning a full restart, but going out / in the screen 😉
Jay M what about putting a shortcut to this action somewhere, it will be easier to use ?

That’s what I’m doing at the minute but with a custom menu made from a text only folder, but there was a setting (overlapping transparent Bars IIRC) that required a manual restart to take effect, and it would of been quicker to do that while still in the settings menus, anyways its not that important, Could you share the 9patch you use for the menu the grey one with the little spike ^ cheers.
Edit: I also didn’t no the difference between a reload/restart.

You can find the nine patch in the apk, unzip it and you will find it in res/drawable-hdpi

Got it thanks, i thought I would have been able to get it with the app icon picker you made by opening that app and browsing the files of LLX but it doesn’t let us save the graphics (feature request) and trying to apply it the proper way with compatable icon pack/app icon picker beta looks fugly because the 9patch isn’t compiled obviously.
