Universal bug fix guide
Universal bug fix guide
1. Restart LL
2. Clear LL’s cache
3. Restart device
4. Ask the community
5. Clear LL’s data (backup before)
6. Reinstall LL (backup before, if not done in 5)
7. Perform a factory reset (careful, all data on your phone will be lost)
If a step of 5-7 solved your problem try to restore your backup. When the bug occurs again, do the step again, which solved your problem, and don’t restore any backups, but recreate your layout.

Number 7 is a bit ‘hard’, and I don’t think a LL bug will be fixed because of that.
Otherwise, this is exactly what users needs to do! Good job. Let’s hope they follow the guidelines
(Perhaps in 6 you can also add ‘backup before and restore after’)
(Oh, and in those steps you can also add ‘try with a fresh install’)

Where is the difference between reinstall and fresh install?
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Nothing, I mean it from my previous suggestion: make a backup, reinstall, try, restore, try
If you want to be really exact, a fresh install is a install without recover any data from the previous install. A reinstall can have a ‘restoration process’

may I pin this post?

Eh……perhaps….I don’t know.
Pin it to see what happens, if people complain unpin it

It looks like there can be only one pinned post at a time, I think the useful link post is more important…
