Yesterday i upgraded nu oneplus 5 tot oxygenOS 5.0.1 (android 8.0.0) and met floating desktop doesn’t work anynore. It seems like LL can’t draw the layer, because displaying handles doesn’t work either. Anyone else experiencing these problems?

I suspect that the “draw over other apps” permission is not granted. I have seen that on the emulator running 8.0 but I don’t have any device running 8. IIRC this happens on lower android versions too but I don’t have a clear understanding on the issue, whether it’s linked to the Android version or the app itself, or maybe conflict with other apps using the same feature.

The permission is granted and even after I redid the “setup” it doesn’t work. I don’t think it conflicts with other apps because even after turning the permission of for all the other apps it still doesn’t work. Good to hear from you anyway 🙂

I have the same problem. With updating my Galaxy Note 8 to Android 8, the floating desktop stopped to work. Switched the “draw over” permission off and on multiple times, but no success. Also the “Display handles” feature is not working.
