Pleeaassee !

BIG PROBLEM!!!!!!

One of my desktop is completely buggy (after trying the grid settings), the desktop cannot be drawn, and every time it tries, LLX crash

So I can’t get to my normal desktop, because it always tries to draw the actual desktop -> LLX crash…

I tried action with tasker and scripting, but I cannot delete or reset the buggy desktop… Or move to another… So I sucks…

A solution would be, Pierre, to add an action in the Tasker plugin, to reset or remove a desktop : Without trying to draw it!!

I hope I’m (with you) going to find a solution without reseting the app data…. :(

That’s why you have to backup things often…

Have similar issues sometimes. In most cases items have size 0x0 and are detached. Could in most cases solve by locating items through hierarchie menu and under “position” do “attach to grid”. Worth a try.

The real solution is to fix bugs 🙂 Were you able to send a crash report when the launcher crashed ?

Just saw you can’t even access the desktop. Damn.

What about a short cut on other launcher “LL Action” and “LL Settings”? This in theory should take you to the main settings directly and you can change or delete the desktop.

Lukas Morawietz Backup or Export as template? I prefer the later, restoring backups in most cases results in missing widgets, icons etc.

Lutz Linke restoring backups works completely fine for me. But I think if you create a template to keep it for restoring, it’s also a kind of backup 😉

Pierre Hébert no, can’t send crash report..

Lutz Linke I can access the LLX Settings trough the app drawer (which I can access via Nova or Tasker), but when I try to go to the Current Desktop Settings => CRASH

I did a template backup… Can I edit that backup trough a text editor to remove the params I put just before the desktop start crashing ?

Could you send me a backup file ? I will try to reload it on my device, maybe it will trigger the crash too, in this case I should be able to fix it.

Benoît de Chezelles Not easy, but possible. Template files are ZIP format. Extract on PC and edit. Then replace directly(!!) in template ZIP (a copy of that of course), don’t try to create new file through ZIPping. I use Total Commander, works good.

    Good luck!!

Benoît de Chezelles if you can find these params… Yes. But it’s gonna be hard to do so.

Thanks for the link, I can reproduce the problem. The issue is an item located at a wrong position (very far top left corner). This is not a user error, but a (old ?) bug. The issue here is that the launcher tries to draw grid lines from this item so far away that it will never manage to do it before a while.

I’ll make a patch so that the app won’t try to draw so many lines, then you will be able to locate and remove this wrong item.

Yes thanks!! I tried to move an object with script under my finger on position changed event… But I failed… And the element placed himself very very far away….
