Recently since the latest update i have noticed that currenty placed widgets are frequently locking up, newly placed widgets are not loading properly if they load at all and (this next one is for widgets replaced via the “choose another widget” option as well as deleted/re-added) widgets that dont even function. its like my widgets are zombified (they are there physically but not loaded properly) or phantomed (not there at all yet long clicking the area brings up the llx widget menu). at first i thought the issue was with an apps widget but soon discovered it wasnt just widgets for that app but rather 96% of my widgets ranging from other apps. my guess is either this update is not playing nice with my widgets or my tablet just developed a bug that muffles my widgets.

I noticed the ‘phantomed’ widget you mentioned with a particular one, a calendar widget. But only it and once a month or less. Fortunately it has a refresh button, and clicking it bring it back.

Pierre always said that having a lot of widgets with a not-very-powerful device can do this more or less.

Try deleting some if possible, and test if it happens also with less widgets (how many widgets do you have? )

I have a similar problem with widgets inside panels. The widget will disappear or not load. I have 2 widgets in my setup.

Same as Sergio Azar, especially when the panel was moved by script widgets often disappear. Long-tap mostly helps, but I often have to use “Restart LL” .
