   Like Lukas Morawietz​ said, there is a Workaround:

   
   

   Under desktop -> wallpaper ->More Set the tint color to 01000000. Your wallpaper will be barely noticeable tinted, but also visible.

   Just installed the latest beta and this looks fixed now.

   
   

   However, can you prevent the floating desktop operation when the screen you are on is actually that desktop anyway.

   
   

   Also, prevent it when using another lock screen as that screws everything up, icons all over the place.

   
   

   Also, if you are on a screen with a panel, and use the floating screen, it totally screws up, and duplicates some, removed other, icons in the panel.
