In folders window, the ‘top’ and ‘height’ values (and maybe ‘left’ and ‘width’ too) are not stored in backups.

I only tried it once, because I don’t like to backup/restore very much.

Could someone confirm this?

TrianguloY, I have one particular panel (not attached to grid) containing dynamic text clock (also not attached to grid) that keeps reverting to old values in width and left. Restoring a backup does not bring them back.

Also, just restarting launcher causes them to revert. This also happens when returning to launcher from an app that caused launcher to be dumped from memory.

My other panels don’t seem to be affected.

In theory they should, I can’t see why they are not stored. I would rather think that they are reset, a bit like the problem Chris Chastain is reporting. I need to check this…

After rereading my post, I need to clarify that it is the object (dynamic text clock) that is not retaining placement and width values… Not the panel itself. Sorry for my poor wording.

I couldn’t reproduce the bug yet. Chris Chastain , do you have any other configuration on the dynamic text other than the position which is detached from the grid ? Such as pinning, or dual position, or something like that ?

Pierre Hébert, no but the panel the dynamic text is in is pinned. It’s the clock in my TopTab theme I’m talking about. It could be just me and my old device.
